Corrections
Accuracy is the foundation of everything we publish. When we make a mistake, we want to know about it and we will correct it.
How to report an error
Email us at [email protected]. Please include:
- The title or URL of the article containing the error.
- A description of what you believe is incorrect.
- A link to, or citation of, the primary source that supports the correction (where possible).
We review all corrections submissions. We will acknowledge legitimate errors and correct them within a reasonable timeframe, typically within two business days of verification.
How we handle corrections
When a factual error is confirmed, we update the article and add a visible correction note at the top or bottom of the piece. The note records what was corrected and when. We do not silently edit errors out of published articles - the correction record remains part of the article permanently.
Minor corrections (typos, formatting, broken links) that do not affect the substance of the reporting may be fixed without a formal correction note, at editorial discretion.
Disagreements about interpretation
If your concern is with editorial judgment or interpretation rather than a factual error - for example, you disagree with how we have framed a story - we welcome that feedback too. Email [email protected]. We read all correspondence, though we cannot always respond individually.
